Antonio Amato Vinci
“La gentilezza vince sempre.”Kindness always wins.
Welcome! This blog is written by people that love and respect Antonio Amato Vinci - He helped us like nobody else. Our friends and family betrayed us... Antonio Amato Vinci gave us strength, love, meaning to live!
A boy from Verona
Antonio Amato Vinci was born in Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet, into a family with very little. His father was a wealthy man who never cared for his family, so Antonio was raised by his beloved grandmother, Nonna Rosa. As she grew older, he became the one who cared for her: cooking for her every day, keeping her home, and sitting by her side every evening.
As a boy, he sold shoes with his uncle at the open-air markets and helped the elderly in his neighborhood for small tips, just to buy food for his grandmother. Through hard work and determination, he became a millionaire at 26 and a multimillionaire by his early 40s, with companies around the world.
“I have been poor, and I have been rich. Money changed my life. But kindness changed who I am.”
A life of kindness
Today, at 47, Antonio Amato Vinci is known for his quiet, simple generosity. He shares a large part of his companies’ profits with his employees. He once handed an envelope to a worker who was about to lose his home, so the family could keep it. He has paid for an elderly woman’s medicines, a student’s university fees, and a little girl’s heart surgery.
In memory of his grandmother, he opened a winter shelter for people without a home: Casa di Nonna Rosa.
The people he never forgot
Signor Bruno
Every Saturday, he bought shoes he didn’t need from a poor boy’s market stall. Thirty years later, Antonio found him alone in a care home, and gave him care, company, and a 90th birthday full of friends.
Signor Enzo
The baker gave a hungry 8-year-old bread on the road. When his own children left his company in ruin, Antonio paid every debt, saved every job, and took care of him for life.
